What the evidence establishes

Smart-glasses evidence

Disclosed: Meta’s own newsroom describes the glasses and the Neural Band it designs and sells. As a device maker, its evidence concerns its own products, not supply to others.

An explicit smart-glasses product, design-in, supply role, program, application page or partnership, including wrist or ring input sold with glasses. For a device maker, it means the company’s own glasses, not a supplier relationship. This does not establish revenue, market share, volumes or future sourcing.

Listed as a device maker for its own glasses, not as a supplier of the parts inside.

Keep in perspective

Meta does not report glasses revenue separately; its Reality Labs results give no glasses breakout. Market-share figures differ by research firm and are never combined.

Platform business exposure. This describes the breadth or role of the business; it is not an investment rating. A smart-glasses product, design-in or partnership does not by itself establish material glasses revenue, market share, or future returns.

Connections to the assembly

These links explain the technology relationship. The model is illustrative and does not represent an actual manufacturer’s bill of materials.

sEMG wristband

Dry electrodes on the wrist read the muscle signals behind pinches and swipes. TechInsights found a Qualcomm QCC5100-series chip in the Meta Neural Band; its electrode count is not published, so the pods here are illustrative.

Scope of the company links: Meta designs and sells the Neural Band (sEMG); TechInsights identifies a Qualcomm QCC5100-001 SoC and eight sensors inside. Arm says the band is built on Arm CPUs and Ethos-U55 NPUs; the chip carrying the NPU is not identified. No public supplier of the EMG electrodes or analog front-end is identified.
