What this universe represents
The universe contains 100 researched public-company listings across eight component sectors. It is not an objectively established top 100 by humanoid revenue, market share, investment quality or expected returns. Private developers and public robot OEMs are not comprehensively represented.
A company can appear in more than one sector. Sector counts overlap and must not be added together as a total company count. We use one selected listing per represented issuer rather than duplicating its ADR and local shares.
Three evidence categories
Humanoid evidence: an explicit humanoid product, development program, application or partnership. This includes early-stage activity and does not establish significant revenue, market share or production volumes.
Robotics products: a documented robotics component or industrial robot application. A humanoid-specific customer or deployment is not established by the cited source.
Adjacent technology: a relevant component capability whose application to humanoids remains an inference. This classification is not a disclosed supplier relationship.
Business mix is a separate question
Specialist, Diversified and Platform describe the breadth or role of the business. They are separate from evidence categories. A specialist can have indirect humanoid exposure, and a diversified company can have an explicit humanoid application.
Companies are grouped by evidence and then alphabetically in research directories. This order is not a financial or performance ranking.
Primary sources and claim boundaries
Research starts with company product pages, technical publications, corporate disclosures and exchange filings. These establish what a source discloses; they do not independently certify its performance claims or production scale.
Company pages retain the specific product role, evidence note, limitation, supporting source and date checked. Where a publication date was not recorded, the review date must not be presented as the document’s publication date.
A named application, development announcement, sampling stage and mass-production contract are different claims. Do not infer unnamed customers, comparative market share or revenue concentration.
Mapping a stock to a component
We distinguish complete systems, integrated products, individual parts, semiconductor support and software. A motor supplier is not automatically a raw-magnet supplier; a processor company is not automatically a memory manufacturer.
Gear architecture matters. The illustrated planetary mechanism is not a strain-wave or cycloidal reducer. Wrist force/torque transducers, inertial units, encoders and tactile sensors are also distinct products.
The current universe has no verified direct match for the illustrated structural link or tendon cables. Those gaps are visible instead of being filled with loosely related stocks.
Dates, updates and corrections
The underlying company and component audit was checked on September 17, 2026. Each company page records its research check date separately from Yahoo’s quote time. A price refresh or new website build does not count as a research review.
The maintenance policy is to review material claims monthly or following a relevant disclosure, and to revisit the whole universe quarterly. These are scheduled responsibilities, not a claim that future reviews have already happened.
Corrections are assessed against primary evidence. Material changes to a company’s role, classification or source should update the relevant record and research change log.
