Force/torque sensors

Understand the load-sensing body in a robot force/torque transducer and distinguish complete sensor systems from supporting components.

Small, controlled deformation under load produces a measurable strain. Geometry separates force and torque components.

What does the transducer measure?

A multi-axis force/torque transducer measures forces and moments transmitted through it. In the illustrated design, loading slightly deforms the sensing body; gauges and electronics turn that deformation into readings. The geometry is educational, not a specification for a commercial sensor.

Which supplier role is being linked?

The list can include complete transducer suppliers and companies supplying a sensing element or relevant electronics. Read the company evidence to determine which role is established. A strain-gauge product does not establish that its maker sells the entire transducer.

What should an investor verify?

Check the product identity, measurement type, disclosed application and listed parent. Wrist deployment and fingertip sensing are different claims. A force/torque product is not the same as an inertial unit, even if both are described as six-axis.
