Where it fits in smart glasses
300 mm SiC optical-waveguide wafers for AR glasses (Semicon China 2025); its 2025 annual report cites a July 2025 strategic cooperation with Shanghai Aolai Micro-Nano Optics and initial AR/VR applications with unnamed optics customers; optical-grade products still in R&D and customer validation (company, Mar 2026).

Keep in perspective
Optical-grade products were still in R&D and customer validation (Mar 2026), with unnamed customers.
Specialist business exposure. This describes the breadth or role of the business; it is not an investment rating. A smart-glasses product, design-in or partnership does not by itself establish material glasses revenue, market share, or future returns.
Connections to the assembly
These links explain the technology relationship. The model is illustrative and does not represent an actual manufacturer’s bill of materials.
High-index waveguide plate
Light bounces along the plate by total internal reflection. A higher index allows a wider field of view: optical glass is about 1.8-2.0, silicon carbide about 2.6-2.7.
Scope of the company links: Upstream wafer suppliers that market high-index glass, polymer or SiC for AR waveguides. SICC reports initial AR/VR use with unnamed optics customers, still in customer validation; none names a shipping glasses program. The reflective waveguide glass in Meta Ray-Ban Display is reportedly SCHOTT’s (private).
